Our new feature is out! Now you can use automated product stories that are created using product feeds and templates built in the Template Studio 🚀
Here how its working step by step;
First of all, you have to have a product feed to import in Storyly.
Settings → Data Source Management → Add Feed
Your feed has to be in XML format.
After adding the feed successfully you can create sets to filter, you can use different numeric and non-numeric operations. These sets will be related with the feed's attributes. For example; based on product category or price range. Your set has to be full numeric to use numeric operations.
You'll see the item count for your feed and each set once we process and this might take couple minutes. After the first import of your feed, Storyly will sync your feeds on an hourly basis but don't worry you can always manually sync it whenever you want.
Once you are all set with your feed, its time to get into creating a group with templates.
Add Story Group → Create From Template
This will be a 2 step creation and here we'll walkthrough step by step.
1. Select a template as you wish, we have multiple sample templates built-in already but you can always create your own template to move on. To create your own template Template Studio is where you heading.
You can add static and dynamic components on your template. Placeholders are for the data coming from your feed as you set. We have CTA (button & swipe-up) placeholders, text placeholders and media placeholders.
Remember, you can use layers on your template to keep components in order. It is really easy to use, just select the component you want to change layer, click on the layer icon and sent it to forward, backward etc.
2. Now you are good to go with your template or one of our sample templates. After picking one, you'll see the set areas, placeholders you have to fill. There will be 2 options for you "Fill" and "Sync". Let's explain those two;
Fill: You can use this option to have something static for that placeholder, if you prefer "Fill", you'll see the same input for the placeholder on all your automatically created stories.
Sync: You can use this option to have dynamic data/input for that placeholder. You have to pick certain sets from your feed. This sets will synced on your automatically created stories. For example; on a Text placeholder you can select Sync and choose "g_price" to set with, on your stories on that placeholder Storyly will automatically gets prices for you.
Everything is properly set and here is an example of how your stories will look!
